Abstract :
A photopolymer process has been described which is self developing and capable of high diffraction efficiencies without further treatment after recording. It is a dry process offering ease of handling and making it particularly attractive for applications in non-destructive testing, and optical information processing. The authors have improved the sensitivity of the medium and the shelf life of the recorded gratings. The system is under continuing investigation in relation to photochemistry and spectroscopy of the process, modulation transfer function, and post recording enhancement of the diffraction efficiency
