Abstract :
Prefabricated accessories are becoming increasingly popular with users because it is perceived that the key jointing stage of applying the insulation has been simplified by using components that are moulded and routine tested under controlled factory conditions. This paper firstly considers the aspects of design and performance that influenced the choice of the composite type of prefabricated joint. Secondly it describes particular accessory designs together with manufacturing and assembly techniques
