Abstract
A generic 500 V high-voltage IC with an architecture for driving N-IGBT and/or N-MOSFET power devices organized in a half-bridge (phase leg) configuration is described and its performance shown. The circuit´s main function is to provide an interface between low-level logic inputs (CMOS) and output power devices. It provides numerous protection features, such as current limiting, prevention of overlap firing, and power supply undervoltage protection. The device has been shown to perform flawlessly in noisy industrial environments.<>
