Abstract :
One-million devices on a chip in the 80s! Is our capability to produce large numbers of devices outstripping our ability to use this level of integration? Do applications exist for VLSI other than even larger memories and more complex micro-processor chips? Semiconductor and system panelists will assess their approaches to the applications of VLSI.
