Abstract
With the sudden boom of high frequency applications, such as those in the 38 GHz band, design engineers are facing the choice between different RF technologies whilst fulfilling time to market constraints and high volume production requirements. This problem is mainly related to the transmit signal generation. After a brief review of the main relevant available technologies the article makes use of an actual example of equipment under production and how it can gradually evolve in the future
