Abstract
In this paper, the joint tactical radio system (JTRS) program is introduced. This program defines a standardization way of utilizing software defined ratio (SDR) architectures so the conventional problems can efficiently be addressed. In doing so it has also become a driving force for the adoption of SDR in military wireless applications. This architecture provides a very high performance and adaptable SDR platform for signal intercept and response applications.
