Abstract :
The paper discusses the suitability of the Digital European Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) radio interface for use in a wireless local loop (WLL) application. The relevance of this standard for WLL applications is highlighted, particularly with respect to the likely service requirements and attributes of these local access networks. The paper concludes with an example of a potential DECT WLL architecture
