Abstract :
For the radar imaging, there are two factors that should be emphasized. They are the resolutions in both cross range and down range. The resolution in cross range will be explain in detail in another paper of ICMMT2004. The resolution of down range is determined by the RF bandwidth. The wider the RF bandwidth, the better the cross range resolution is. In this paper, a wide band spiral antenna is designed in detail. The measurement results show that the antenna with frequency 2-12 GHz. The axial ratio is within 2.2 dB within the band. The test results agree well with that of simulation.
