Abstract :
Advanced aeroengine on-board models adopt the fast linear model due to the limited resources and real-time demand. This paper presents an approach on how to construct a State Variable Model (SVM) which covers the entire operating range of the nonlinear aeroengine based on gain scheduling technique. Meanwhile, the model variation, from idle to maximum state through a nonlinear model of a certain turbofan engine, has been considered. Finally, the simulation result illustrates the SVM method is superior to the traditional single point linear model due to its ease of implement and highly accurate variation performance through the entire dynamics states. The benefit of the proposed method is to gain some insight for the application of the SVM in the aeroengine control systems.
