Abstract
A novel algorithm for evaluating the quality of movable signal coverage in gridded area is proposed in this paper. The algorithm makes use of minimum mean-squared error rule to fit the path loss formula in Okumura-Hata model, combining the existing field test data, and then calculates the signal strength of each grid in the designated area by combining the fitted path loss formula and the parameters of the antennas. The experiment results indicate that the calculation results are in better accordance with the actual values by using the proposed algorithm, which provides more precise support for the mobile operators to make the decision of improving the communication quality.
