Abstract
A method for design of output feedback dissipative controllers in the H∞ framework is presented. The approach is motivated by passivity properties of mechanical systems. Use of H∞ as closed loop system norm allows systematic assessment of performance. A design example from marine operations in offshore oil exploration is given
