Abstract
Sugarcane production area is “the first workshop” for the sugar refinery, and it is very important to strengthen its farm management for enhancing the quality of sugarcane and increasing the sugar yields. This paper mainly introduces one way of building a comprehensive, efficient, three-dimensional farm management information service platform for sugarcane farmers, governments, and production management departments of enterprises by integrating the sugarcane farm application system and public information service with the use of RS, GIS, GPS, Web Service. Through more than two years of research and practice, a system of sucrose information technology service has been built initially in the sugarcane demonstration area of Guangxi State Farms to enhance the raw sugarcane´s yield and quality, and guarantee the freshness of raw sugarcane to realize a win-win between business and sugarcane farmers.
