  • Abstract
    The panel will explore the many voices of the new IC speech synthesizers, including: ´rules´-generated speech, synthesis-by-analysis and Mozer waveform encoding. Advantages of analog sampled-data filters versus digital filters, linear prediction (LPC) versus formant encoding and ways to beat the quality/ bit rate trade-offs will also be covered.
