Abstract :
The electric energy data acquire system with full coverage of power user and full collection of electric information is the important component of the deployment of strong & smart grid. A real-time, reliable, high-speed and secure data communication network is the key to implementing electric energy data acquire system. The low-voltage power line communication make full use of power line resources and has many advantages, such as coverage a wide range of electric power user, low cost of investment, easy to implement. PLC has become a mainstream technology in the construction of electric energy data acquire system and it has been widely adopted in many cities in China. However, it is usually hard for the current single communication mode to meet the requirement of full coverage of electric power user and collection of electric information because the structure of distribution network is complicated. This paper shows integrating several communication methods to build the electric energy data acquire network, which achieved good results in the field deployment, validate the feasibility of the solution.
