Abstract :
An efficient method of determining the frequency and the characteristic impedance of the reentrant cavity for klystrons using MAFIA is presented in this paper. Two kinds of cavities are calculated. One is cylindrical cavity and the other is rectangular cavity. The results from MAFIA are compared with those from equivalent circuit model and those from cold test measurements. The error is within 10%.
