Abstract :
In this paper we analyze what graphene, though metallic by nature, does on top of optical nano antennas. There is a capacitive effect introduced by monolayer graphene placed on top of the antenna. The electric field intensity, absorption characteristics, and the change in the input impedance as a result of introducing the graphene layer are studied. Electric field, absorption characteristics and input impedance are all calculated using the Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) technique.
