Abstract :
Comparisons are made between microwave measurements and numerical analyses for several cylindrical RF shielding enclosures. CW measurements in the frequency range from 45 MHz to 2 GHz are compared with a numerical model based on the Cartesian finite-difference time-domain technique. Agreement of the numerical results with the measurements is good, considering the model limitations. Slight disagreement in the frequencies of the various resonances and significant underprediction of some of the coupling amplitudes were observed. The latter are attributed in part to measurement reliability problems and in part to consumptions about field variations.<>
