Abstract :
This paper describes a speed sensorless rotor flux oriented torque control of induction machines which utilises stator flux components as control variables. Combining the advantages of rotor flux orientation and stator flux space vector control leads to high performance drives using a simple control scheme. This scheme is affected by total leakage inductance variations which determine detuned operation. A method is presented that provides the possibility to estimate the total leakage inductance besides the identification of stator self inductance. The effectiveness of the proposed system is verified by computer simulation and experimental tests
