Abstract :
In this paper, the soft start method of three-phase AC/DC converter using improved sliding mode controller which has combined a sliding mode controller and PI controller in DC distribution system for building application is proposed. The performances of the PI voltage controller and sliding mode controller have been compared and the performance of the improved sliding mode controller has been verified with experiment. The proposed controller keep the tenacity of the system parameter fluctuation of a sliding mode controller and dynamic performance of a PI controller, allowing it to fundamentally minimize the overshoot of the controlled voltage.
