Abstract :
Three digital frequency estimators for M-PSK transmission systems are considered. At high SNR, their performance is evaluated analytically. At low SNR, simulation is used to assess the performance of the estimators. The useful frequency and SNR range of each estimator is determined. A simplification based on averaging groups of complex samples is proposed and analysed
