Abstract :
In this article, I seriously analyze UMHexagons motion estimation algorithm, The main work is optimizing search template strategy. According to the MV distribution characteristics of the 5*5 spiral square and multi-layer hexagon search to sift search points, At the same time put direction into consideration to further optimize search points. Through the JM16.2 model test, algorithm Experiments prove the improved algorithm can effectively relieve the calculation and maintain video quality, Compared with the original algorithm UMHexagons, The algorithm has better performance, which can reduce the number of search points by 45% averagely, and can save 4%-13% of the time motion estimation, achieve the goal of Improving real-time encoding.
