Abstract :
Using the theory of mode expansion, a large-signal analysis of coupled cavity traveling-wave tubes operating at plasma-cavity hybrid modes has been carried out. The space-charge field with plasma-background has been analyzed using the Green´s function. The result shows that the presence of plasma can reverse the role of space-charge effects in the operation of traveling wave amplifiers.
