A Study on River-Sea through Transportation of the Lower Yangtze River and Its Future Development of Water Transportation

According to the content of "Outline of Middle to Long Term Science and Technology Development Plan of China", the inland water transportation will be developed greatly in our country from 2005 to 2020. On the basis of the "Outline of Development", this paper discusses basis problems about water transportation development of lower reaches of the Yangtze River and makes a thorough study on these problems. This paper analyzes important problems on the future development of the Yangtze River water transportation in macro and micro respects. The results provide basis for development of Yangtze River water transportation.
