Abstract :
In this paper, we investigate a novel approach to estimation and tracking the symbol timing offset in unknown multipath fading channel based on the application of method called sequential Monte Carlo. The performance of the proposed technique is studied through computer simulations that illustrate the accuracy of timing recovery and particle filtering receiver outperforms extended Kalman filtering (EKF) for the considered SNR.
