Abstract
The TOMS AI values were high in gebi desert in North China. There were prefect correlation between AI values and the sandstorm frequency, but when the temperature was high and sandstorm occurred not so often, AI values were high too. The AI of study areas depended not only on sandstorm but also on solar radiation, dust devil and thermal convection triggered by which had important effect on atmospheric aerosol.
