Abstract :
The author presents a powerful set of R&D process quality tools, which can improve the quality of R&D project evaluation, project management, project execution, and project decisions, as well as strategic R&D management and resource allocation. Four tools are considered in particular: strategy tables, influence diagrams, sensitivity analysis, and decision trees. These tools are designed to help project teams do collaborative work more efficiently and effectively. They aid in structuring thinking, in communication, and in quantification. They help achieve R&D evaluation possessing quality, integrity, and credibility. They are simple to understand and appreciate, but are nontrivial to apply
