Abstract
The paper introduced the application of ArcGIS in recovery and management of geological environment. After setting the project coordinate system, using elevation data, Digital Terrain Model has been built by ArcGIS with 3D Analyst, and then earthwork to cut and fill has been estimated. With overlay function in ArcToolbox, the recovered environments, such as abandoned wells caused by mining, have been obtained, and coordinates of them can be output. So it is very convenient to use ArcGIS in recovery and management of geological environment.
