Abstract
An integrated design environment for automotive electronics is described by the authors which will do much to reduce the level of data complexity of today´s designs, and will eliminate many error-prone manual processes in the design and launch phases. By linking the various parts of the design and launch activities together, it is expected that significant cycle time benefits will be achieved. A separate cycle time metrics program is being implemented to allow the monitoring of these improvements over time as various features of the CAD and launch data management (LDM) systems are implemented
