Abstract :
The authors investigate uncertainties in the world of projects, how they are usually dealt with, and how they could be dealt with. They first review deterministic planning, conclude that the future is by definition uncertain, and discuss methods to evaluate and reduce uncertainty, as well as the method of segmented planning in a phased project. They then consider the use of multipath planning, develop a multipath planning methodology, and consider the advantages and disadvantages of this approach
