Abstract :
At present, urban transportation systems are increasingly developed. But there are still many unresolved problems for the blind who have visual obstacle in the travel, particularly in a long journey by car. In this paper we present a remote assistant platform for the blind based on GIS, which can exchange the information with the portable navigation devices in the blind, to help them travel.
