  • Abstract
    A control method-synergetic control is introduced and applied to DC-DC switching converters for practical applications. Based on variable structure control theory, the hitting condition and existence condition of a synergetic controller is discussed. Moreover, synergetic control gives constant switching frequency operation and can control the off-manifold dynamics better. It is also well-suited for digital implementation as compared with sliding-mode controllers. In this paper, we give an application of Boost converter with constant power load (CPL) as well as an analysis of stability of the closed loop system. Simulation results indicate that the stability and robustness of the system can be guaranteed. Moreover, dynamic performances of the synergetic control system can be improved by suitable choices for k .
