Abstract
In the preprocessing the of optical bands it is possible to calculate both the reflectance as it is measured by the sensor and the reflectance coming from the pixel at sensor level. Once a cloudless image is atmospherically corrected, the spectral texture analysis can be applied to both reflectance images. In particular LANDSAT 5/MSS images were considered over coastal water areas and it is possible to find certain structures that cannot be found using monospectral textural analysis
