Abstract
In this study, the possibility of communication over power distribution lines is investigated analytically and experimentally, in order for realizing automation of power distribution systems and distribution systems impedance variations affecting communication negatively. For some power levels, bus admittance curve versus communication frequencies of 5-20 kHz is plotted. Experimental studies have been made on the distribution line of which the value of bus admittance was calculated. Bus impedance values corresponding to power levels to 25 kW drawn are obtained by measurement and compared to those found by calculation. It is noticed that curve from experiments and calculations are similar
