Abstract
New possibilities in the practice of the ocean acoustics experiment are pointed out due to high-directed signal transmission by narrow beam high power parametric array. The results of the investigation of the parametric signal transmission through the ocean eddy are presented. The space pattern of the parametric antenna field is shown to be essentially changed with the direction of the ocean eddy probing. Horizontal refraction occurs when a parametric signal passes through the eddy, that shows the possibility of the long distance tomographic analysis of mesoscale hydrologic patterns of the ocean by high-directed parametric array. Experiments have been done under the conditions when the parametric signal dominated in the field of transmitting array
