Abstract :
Describes a system to receive, archive and process NOAA AVHRR data into useful products. These include sea surface temperature, sediment concentration and coccolithophore bloom maps. Of four main components: 1) image acquisition; 2) archival, catalog and quicklooks production; 3) image analysis and products generation; 4) database searches and quicklooks visualization. Ultimately, this information will be used to monitor the St. Lawrence Gulf and Hudson Bay ecosystems and define the relations between physical and biological processes
