Abstract :
A procedure that has been used for several years in developing the Swedish version of the KTH multilingual text-to-speech system on the segmental level is described. Experimental results from an evaluation of synthetic speech by 12 untrained listeners are presented. A method for improved nasal synthesis is discussed
