Abstract :
The EMB30 is a leading edge solution to high resolution oceanic environmental monitoring. It measures meteorological and wave data. High priority is given to data security by incorporation of near real time transmission of datasets to a shore station. the buoy has a proven rugged design, as demonstrated during the SWALES Experiment. The flexibilty of the modular technology allows system reconfiguration to specific user applications. Alternatively it can provide the power and communications infrastructure for user developed measurement systems
