Abstract :
The effect of PEMW on humoral immunity is investigated and provide theoretical basis for formulating the standard of PEMW injury and protection. We set three groups of rats to receive whole body exposure by using 100, 103 and 104 times pulse electromagnetic wave (PEMW) respectively, whose field intensity is 100 kV/m of each, then anesthetized the rats at different time after the exposure, gathered blood and separated the serum. Immunization nephelometry was used to determine the content of IgA, IgG, IgM in serum. The content of IgA, IgG, IgM in serum began to decrease at 12 h after 10 times PEMW exposure, especially that of IgM and IgG decreased significantly (<p0.05, p<0.01). The content did not recover until 8 d after the exposure. The content of IgA obviously decreased (p<0.05) at 48 h after 10 times pulses exposure. But IgG level increased significantly (p<0.01) at 48 h after exposure. And there was no statistical difference of IgM. PEMW exposure can depress of serum immune globulin of rat. IgM is the most sensitive one to exposure. And 10 times pulses may be one effect window
