Abstract :
HJ-1 satellite data has been applied successfully on disaster reduction field since it is launched on September 6, 2008. It has worked stably for 3 years until September 6, 2011. National Disaster Reduction Center of China (NDRCC) engages in the work of disaster warning, disaster monitoring and disaster assessment using HJ-1 satellite data, and provides decision support to the government of China and has got international praise.
