Abstract :
A novel class of fiber-optic biosensor that exploits the localized surface plasmon resonance of self-assembled gold colloids on the grating portion of a long-period fiber grating is proposed. When the gold colloidal surface was modified with DNP, experimental results show that the signal increases linearly with increasing concentration of the analyte, and the detection limit of the sensor for antiDNP is 3.80×10-7 M.
