Abstract
In this paper, the degradation behavior of domestic waste of dump sites was studied using simulation tests under two different environmental conditions. The leachate quality (concentrations of COD, BOD and ammonia nitrogen), refuse composition (organic matter and BDM) and microbial community structure were compared between two tests. The result showed the microbial community structure of dump sites was significantly affected by natural precipitation and heat dissipation, and which observably affected the stabilization process of the dump sites in the north cold area.
