Abstract
Wireless sensor network (WSN) has limited storage, computation capacity and constrained energy resources. This paper presents a novel routing algorithm for WSN, named energy-efficient geographic routing (EEGR), which utilizes sensor nodes´ geographical information to conserve energy consumption of network. By analysis and experiments, the paper demonstrates that EEGR can balance the energy consumption throughout the whole network, reduce network traffic, and hence prolong the network´s lifetime.
