Title :
Modelling of coherent detectors in sea clutter

Abstract :
A model for the Doppler spectra of sea clutter has been developed that can represent the time-varying and range-varying nature of such clutter. It has previously been shown how this model can accurately predict the amplitude statistics observed over range or time at different Doppler frequencies. This paper shows how the model can also be exploited to assess the performance of different types of coherent detection schemes.
