Abstract :
Describes a shore based monitoring system used in Mediterranean Sea within the framework of a European Acoustic Tomographic program. The main features of the listening station are: self governing, continuous real time processing to verify the working conditions of acoustic sources, and data storage at a very good accuracy. Moreover, the monitoring station is operated by remote control via a telephonic modem
