Abstract
This paper introduces a new method based on dielectric waveguide model (DWM) for predicting the resonant frequency of multisegment dielectric resonator antennas (MSDRAs). In this method assumed that the influence of each segment in the resonant frequency of the whole structure is proportional to its height. The results of the proposed method are compared with the previous method and experimental results. The method yields more accurate resonant frequencies than the previous method. The results are also checked with HPHFSS.
