Abstract
This paper presents trials results from the “Bright Sapphire” airborne Synthetic Aperture Radar, which operates in the VHF and UHF bands, from 200MHz to 1300MHz. Using data collected in Australia in 2012 polarimetric imagery has been formed at high resolution. Two key aspects of the processing chain are described in this paper, these being the coherent combination of data collected in multiple sub-bands and semi-blind polarimetric calibration.
