Abstract
High efficiency and low cost waveguide arrays have been proposed and developed by using four kinds of single-layer waveguides. These are potential for varieties of millimeter-wave wireless systems using high gain antennas. The latest advances in the analysis and design methods of single-layer waveguide arrays are reviewed. Then the system applications such as fixed wireless access (FWA), local area network (LAN), TV-video home-link systems and mobile communication base stations are introduced.
