Abstract
Recent developments of laser optoacoustic imaging system, a new medical imaging modality utilizing endogenous contrast of blood enhanced with exogenous contrast of gold nanoparticles for real-time high-resolution high-sensitivity detection of cancer and monitoring of cancer therapy are reviewed.
