Abstract :
The SAR distribution in a high-fidelity human body model caused by 2.4 GHz band planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) for Bluetooth application has been studied by sub-grid finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. The investigated situation was a user, who was simulated by a high-fidelity human body model, wearing Bluetooth device right before his chest. The results indicated that the highest SAR areas were the body surface near the antenna. The ten-gram averaged peak SAR of lung, small intestine and blood is comparatively high. The peak SAR levels will be lower than the safety limits for an antenna output power below 80 mW
