  • Abstract
    The paper tries to shed more light on the general problem of mapping of neural networks onto the three-dimensional VLSI (3D-VLSI). The paper summarizes the relevant literature on 3D-VLSI, and it presents some examples which demonstrate the advantages of mapping various neural network models onto the 3D-VLSI. The paper also sets up the directions of future research, and underlines the expected efficiency improvements
